TRAIN FOR YOUR SPORT. BUILD FOR YOUR FUTURE
Canadian Park will complement not replace School sport specific coaching! We are here to help,
Fundamental principle—
Learn to move well before adding more resistance or intensity. Our youth fitness programs develop essential movement patterns including squatting, hinging, pushing, pulling, lunging, carrying, jumping, landing, running, and changing direction. This will be done through age appropriate strength exercises. While also focusing on mobility, balance, core stability, and coordination training. Young clients build a stronger foundation for sports, recreation, and everyday movement.
For youth athletes and beginners in Boston, training progresses from movement and control to strength, speed, power, and performance. Sessions can incorporate bodyweight movements, resistance bands, dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, agility drills, and other appropriate training methods based on the individual.
Whether preparing for a sports season, developing athletic confidence, or simply becoming stronger and more active, Canadian Park Training provides personalized youth strength and conditioning in Back Bay within a supportive coaching environment focused on proper technique, progressive development, and long-term movement skills.
TRAIN FOR YOUR SPORT. BUILD FOR YOUR FUTURE.
Off-Season Training-
Offseason training is important because it gives athletes a structured period to develop physical qualities that can be difficult to improve during a competitive season! When practices, games, travel, and recovery take priority. Rather than simply “taking time off,” Having a well designed offseason allows youth athletes to address movement limitations, rebuild strength, improve mobility, develop speed and power, and work on weaknesses identified during the previous season.
For youth athletes especially, the offseason can be used to focus on longterm athletic development instead of only sport specific performance. Strength, coordination, balance, acceleration, deceleration, jumping and landing mechanics, and change-of-direction skills can all be developed progressively. Appropriate recovery should remain part of the plan; athletes do not need to train at maximum intensity year-round.
Team Training/team Chemistry -
Great teams are built before the season begins. Offseason team training gives athletes an opportunity to develop strength, speed, conditioning, movement quality, and athletic confidence. While learning how to work together outside the pressure of competition. Training as a group encourages communication, accountability, leadership, and team trust that can and will carry directly into practices and games. Athletes learn how their teammates respond to challenges, support one another, and work toward a shared goal.
At Canadian Park Training, offseason team training is designed to strengthen both the individual athlete and the team as a unit. Sessions can combine functional strength, mobility, speed, agility, conditioning, coordination, and team-based challenges. Functional training at Canadian Park Training appropriate for all athletes' ages and sports. For coaches, schools, and youth programs, the off-season provides valuable time to establish expectations, reinforce positive habits, identify areas for development, and create stronger team chemistry before competition begins. Build Together. Train Together. Enter the season ready to compete Together.
